Your Humble Narrator

The folkwolf has been up and down like a yoyo in the past couple of days, and for anyone affected by the outage, I’m very sorry. For a long time I avoided upgrading it. I did a huge round of updates nearly a year ago, to get it up to Fedora 38, but then detected problems with the next update, so I stopped there. I have since upgraded it to Fedora 44, the most recent version as of May 5/2026, and plan to keep updating it regularly after this. The main reason for this was copy.fail, which is a trivial local root exploit, which makes it that much easier to combine with other exploits to create a remote root exploit.

This has been an interesting couple of days. Folkwolf users, please let me know if something is not working
